Tour
: Conflict and Dilemma |
| Study Subject : Drama |
| Location : Belgium |
| Prices From : £299 |
Duration: 6 days, 5 nights |
| Tour Description :
Throughout the school year we run courses for drama
students throughout Europe. These popular courses include
tuition on general theatrical and performance skills
or work based on specific texts, determined in consultation
with the group leaders. This programme is designed to
explore the emotional dilemmas and dramatic impact of
'conflict' in the face of war. Set amongst the battlefields
of WW1 groups have the opportunity to contrast the reality
and the myths of war. Students can study the works of
war poets as a starting point to develop their own productions
and explore issues relating to the impact of war on
individuals. The town of Ieper is the focal point of
this tour and the surrounding area provides a range
of outdoor areas that groups can use. Your tour will
be accompanied by a professional actors and experienced
tutors in theatre and technical skills who will lead
your workshop course. If you have a small drama group
you can combine with your History department and run
an inter-disciplinary course. It will also provide your
students with a ready-made audience! |
