Four Star New Year in Brussels

When the spectacular firework display lights up the skies over the magnificent Grand Place, you will know you made the right choice in making Brussels your New Year’s destination. Brussels also offers so much to do during the daytime including stunning architecture, excellent shopping opportunities, and some of the world’s finest chocolates and beer. The Winter Wonders festival runs over the New Year period giving the magnificent squares of Brussels a special atmosphere with colourful decorations. Over 200 Christmas market stalls dotted around the Place Sainte Catherine, Fish Market and the Bourse sell all kinds of handicrafts and hot food and drinks to warm you up, and rides and events for all the family. On New Year’s Day you will have a further day at leisure with an optional three-course meal at the award-winning Chez Leon restaurant in central Brussels – a fantastic place to sample traditional Belgian cuisine. During the return journey, we visit the medieval city of Bruges – known as the ‘Venice of the North’ because of its network of picturesque canals and bridges.
