Valkenburg at the Crossroads of Europe
“The three Countries Point is where the borders of Holland, Belgium
and Germany all meet.”

Monschau
Based in Valkenburg, superb for tourists, and located in the South of Holland, this represents a great base from which to visit three European
countries. We include a visit to Aachen in Germany, capital of the Holy Roman Empire of Charlemagne. We then journey through the Dutch countryside
to the area known as the 'Dutch Alps' and on to the Three Country Point. This is where the borders of Holland, Belgium and Germany all meet. On day
three you have the full day at leisure in Valkenburg. On day four the morning is free to enjoy Valkenburg. Explore the old streets and caves, visit
the castle or enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the many pavement cafes. After lunch we include a visit to the historic fortified town of Monschau,
with its unique half-timbered houses.
You will stay for four nights at a comfortable hotel, such as the family run Hotel Op De Boud, or similar, located in the
pretty Dutch town of Valkenburg. All hotels used have well-furnished en-suite bedrooms as well as a bar and a restaurant. Breakfast and dinner
will be included throughout your stay. This hotel is a great favourite with Gold Crest clients.
