World War One Battlefields Discovery Tour - Somme
“Get a taste of the First World War with this three day battlefield tour.”
The second day is centred on The Somme and start at the important wartime town of Albert and Thiepval and its memorial
to Irish troops. Finally, there is the Newfoundland Memorial Park to the Canadian troops of World War One and Beaumont Hamel. On the final morning we
visit the memorial to the Canadian troops at Vimy Ridge. All tours will be accompanied by an expert guide.
Your Hotel
You will stay for two nights at a comfortable hotel in Belgium, such as, or similar to, the Ibis Hotel Kortrijk. All hotels used
have well-furnished en-suite bedrooms as well as a bar and a dining room where continental breakfast will be included throughout your stay.
Your Itinerary
Day 1 Belgium. Journey to your hotel in Belgium.
Day 2 The Somme. Included full day excursion to The Somme Valley.
Day 3 Belgium. This morning we visit the Canadian troops memorial at Vimy Ridge before we commence our
journey home.
