Three diverse Christmas market destinations include a historic city, pretty German town and romantic castle
This four star festive break includes excursions to some of Germany’s finest and most varied Christmas markets.
First up is Cologne, a historic city that boasts six Christmas markets scattered across the city in many wonderful locations, especially those against the backdrop of Cologne cathedral and the Alter Markt.
Day three starts with a visit to the traditional Christmas markets of Monschau, one of Western Germany’s most beautiful towns. Finally, we include an evening visit to Merode Castle, a romantic venue for a remarkable Christmas market full of all the usual handicrafts and local specialities to warm you up. Seeing the castle lit up by thousands of candles and torches and the Christmas village clustered in the castle grounds will be an unforgettable experience.
Your Hotel
You will stay three nights at the four star Best Western Leverkusen, or similar. All hotels used have en-suite bedrooms and a bar and restaurant where continental breakfast is served.
Your Itinerary
Day 1 Germany. Journey to your hotel.
Day 2 Cologne Christmas Markets. Included full day excursion to enjoy the Christmas Markets.
Day 3 Monschau and Merode Castle. Included full day excursion.
Day 4 Germany. After breakfast we depart our hotel for the journey home.
